History

Michael H. Harrell formed Probity Contracting Group, LLC in Richland, MS on January 9, 2014 after many years serving as President of one of the largest general contracting companies in the state of Mississippi.  Having entered the business in 1977 and serving a single employer for 23 years, Mr. Harrell led a management buyout of that company, a 120-year old general contracting firm.  He then served as owner and CEO of Harrell Contracting Group until 2012, when this company merged with a large international company.

HCG was originally based in Jackson, Mississippi, and served as a multi-faceted contracting firm offering general construction, construction management, design-build, consulting and development services to clients.  Probity Contracting Group, LLC (PCG) strives to continue these services by nurturing a team approach involving developer, the building committee, the design team and all major specialty trade contractors.  We take a holistic view of the process.

Singularly, Probity Contracting Group, LLC's identity is centered around our commitment to client services.  Our success is largely due to the fact that we believe in the singularity of each client's needs, and we tailor our services specific to exceed those needs.  PCG's leadership has a reputation of being a preferred contractor for many types of projects.  It is our goal to solidify our relationships by exceeding expectations to foster the desire to contract with our firm for future projects.
